Even if your space heater has newer safety features, it is still important to ensure that pets and young children are not around them. Keeping them in separate areas or behind safety gates will help make sure that everyone is safe.
Pay Attention to Safety Features on New Space Heaters
If your space heater is old, you may want to consider a new one. Newer space heaters have safety features that may prevent a fire, such as a tip-over switch and auto shut off. Many newer models also have a thermostat to make sure they only heat the space to a certain temperature.
